Why is it hard to put into practice?
Why is it hard to put into practice?
Why is it hard to put into practice?
Thoughts of people:
„The implementation is very difficult. The only way is to practice, practice, and often pause to gain some distance.“
We often believe we need to do something to find inner peace. Our thoughts are so loud that we keep ourselves from calming down – as if we need an excuse not to simply be still. The mind tells us that finding peace is difficult and exhausting. But once we consciously observe our thoughts, we realize: we are the ones standing in our own way. It’s not about doing something, but about letting go – of our thoughts, our judgments, our ideas.
Personal experience
There were phases where I almost went crazy because I believed I constantly had to do something to move forward. My thoughts were so loud that I couldn’t perceive my body or the peace of the present moment. All I felt was the inner urge to take action to feel better. My mind convinced me that peace could only be achieved through doing. I wasn’t aware that it was my mind that needed to be brought to stillness – so it kept pushing me further. Only through physical struggles and a long process did I realize: the key lies in letting go of one’s own thoughts. It was actually quite simple – only my mind made it complicated.
Approach
Every judgment originates in your mind. But to find inner peace and arrive in the present moment, you neither have to practice nor take distance. A quiet place can help, yes – but true peace lies in letting go of your own thoughts and the external world. It can be helpful to expose yourself to challenging situations repeatedly to learn to return to your center. But you don’t have to do anything, and it is not difficult to arrive in the present moment. It is possible anytime and anywhere – because the key lies solely in letting go of your own thoughts, no matter where you are physically.
Take a moment to reflect on these questions:
- Why do I believe I need to take action to find peace?
- How can I guide my body into stillness?
- What do I need in this moment to truly perceive myself?
- Where can I find a place to experience complete silence?
- What inner beliefs or fears prevent me from calming my thoughts?
- Why is it hard for me to let go instead of believing I have to do something to find peace?
